Concrete Earn V2

– The New Institutional Standard for DeFi Infrastructure –

A New Future

DeFi vaults should feel effortless — strategy driving decisions, governance protecting capital, and automation keeping everything in motion.

This is the new standard for vault infrastructure. It’s the groundwork we’ve laid for a future of faster and safer vault infrastructure.

The V1 Challenge

Concrete Earn V1 laid a strong foundation, our V2 framework builds on Earn V1 with enhanced automation and efficiency — streamlining operations like rebalancing and withdrawals without compromising security.

Earn V2 redesigns how permissions and automations work, removing bottlenecks without sacrificing security. Empowering strategists to be bold and get users the best yield.

The Breakthrough: Role-Based Automation

Not every vault action needs the same level of oversight. Large structural changes should move slowly, while daily cash flows should be instant. Earn V2 introduces this distinction at the protocol level.

Earn V2 has a clear division of responsibilities:

  • Vault Manager
    • Controls the fees, limits, withdrawal queue, and the general vault parameters.
  • Allocator
    • Controls the strategy allocations, withdrawal processing, and the unwinding of funds for users.
  • Strategy Manager(s)
    • Approves or removes strategies.
  • Hook Manager
    • Controls the configuration of hooks for pre/post deposit, also controls the withdrawal logic.

This keeps high-impact moves under tight governance, while letting routine operations flow without delay.

Automated Accounting

Async Vaults have historically had problems when it came to accounting. Certain multisig strategies can mean stale data, inaccurate share values, and problems across DeFi integrations.

Earn V2 fixes this with an automated asset updating and withdrawal processing three-party system. Concrete Earn V2 makes Concrete the only vault platform with daily NAV updates.

  • Transaction Proposer
    • Tracks the real-time value of strategist wallets and proposes asset updates based on data.
  • Independent Signer
    • Operates a unique system and confirms alignment.
  • Smart Contract Safeguards
    • The vault accepts automation updates, but only within realistic ranges based on target APY. Updates exceeding bounds require owner intervention.

This three-party system transforms vault operations from bi-weekly or weekly manual interventions into daily automated processes that run without manual oversight while maintaining institutional-grade security and accuracy.

Why Automated Accounting Matters

These changes were not made just for convenience. Faster automated operations mean:

  • Accurate share pricing
    • Asset tokens stay liquid and composable
  • No missed withdrawal windows
    • Capital flows when users need it.
  • Institutional-grade Controls
    • Role separation and independent checks ensure governance integrity.

Institutional-Grade Infrastructure

We’ve partnered with TRES to provide accounting services for any vault created with Earn V2 infrastructure. This ensures correct and verifiable reporting that meets institutional standards.

All vaults created will come with Hypernative, acting as a monitor on Fireblocks trading wallets and multisig wallets for an additional degree of security and providing feedback on any policy proposed by strategists. Hypernative monitors vaults for security and provides feedback on proposed transactions.

Looking Ahead

Concrete Vault infrastructure is the new institutional standard for automated DeFi infrastructure. Earn V2 turns manual, governance-heavy processes into seamless role-based automation to keep capital safe while letting strategies move at market speed.
